Magnetek FLEX EX2 Radio Remote Controls
AFE Crane is a proud distributor of Magnetek FLEX EX2 Series Radio Remote Controls. These systems build on the success of the original Flex EX line. In addition, they offer more features and improved performance while maintaining strong value.
These radios are rugged, reliable, and built for industrial use. They work well in material handling and overhead crane applications. Operators will also appreciate the ergonomic and lightweight design. Transmitters are available in 4, 6, 8, and 12-button configurations to match different needs.
Innovative and Efficient Performance
The FLEX EX2 system includes a wide range of programmable features. In fact, it offers more than 200 functions to support many types of applications.
In addition, the transmitters remain backward compatible with first-generation EX receivers. This makes upgrades simple and cost-effective.
The system also includes a Zero-G feature. If the transmitter is dropped, it automatically stops operation. As a result, it helps prevent unintended movement and improves overall safety.
Ergonomic and Reliable Design

Magnetek designed the FLEX EX2 with both comfort and durability in mind. The rounded enclosure uses a strong nylon and fiberglass composite. Because of this, it holds up well in tough
environments.
The pushbuttons feature gold-plated contacts and are rated for over two million cycles. They also provide clear tactile feedback, even when operators wear gloves.

In addition, the system carries an IP66 rating. This means both the transmitter and receiver are fully sealed against dust and moisture. As a result, they perform reliably in both indoor and outdoor conditions.
The system runs on two AA batteries and can operate for more than 100 hours. When needed, operators can quickly access the battery compartment using a single thumbscrew.
A wide range of accessories is also available. For example, users can add protective boots, carrying cases, belt clips, or horn kits to match their application.
Secure and Dependable Communication
Reliable communication is critical in crane operation. Therefore, the FLEX EX2 includes several advanced features to ensure consistent performance.
The frequency agility feature automatically switches channels if interference occurs. In addition, the system offers 124 available channels, with 62 that users can program.
Each system includes over one million unique identification codes. This helps prevent signal overlap between systems.
Operators can also pair replacement transmitters wirelessly. In addition, the built-in infrared feature allows for quick configuration using an
IR programmer.
Advanced microprocessor controls further improve performance. These controls support fast, accurate, and error-free signal transmission.
Specialty Models for Advanced Applications
The FLEX EX2 series includes several specialty configurations. These options provide greater flexibility for more complex operations.

AB Selector Switch (AB)
This feature allows one operator to switch between two hoists on the same bridge. The operator can choose hoist A, hoist B, or both. In addition, the switch position clearly shows which hoist is active.
Tandem Operation (T)
This setup allows one or two operators to control two bridge cranes. Operators can run the cranes independently or together. As a result, they can lift larger loads or coordinate complex movements.
Receiver Select Operation (RS)
This system allows one operator to control multiple receivers at once. For example, a single operator can manage up to two bridges and four hoists. Because of this, the system reduces the need for festooning and improves flexibility.

Receivers Built for Easy Installation

Magnetek designed FLEX EX2 receivers with installation and service in mind. Each unit comes prewired with six feet of cable and mounting hardware.
In addition, onboard LEDs provide clear system status information. This helps during both installation and troubleshooting.
All components are easy to access and replace in the field. As a result, maintenance is faster and more efficient.
